YOGA FOR MEN
More men than ever are discovering yoga and the benefits to their health. Not only is it a great, low-impact form of exercise – it focuses on working towards a positive body and mind, reducing stress levels, and increasing flexibility.

Classes are aimed at the 'everyday man'... so it's perfect for beginners.
why yoga for men?
Yoga is often portrayed as being mainly for women, which can make men think it’s not for them, especially if they’re new to it. Men may also be discouraged by believing that they’re too inflexible for yoga, or that they’ll be the only person in the room that doesn’t know what they’re doing.
If you’re reading this thinking 'that sounds like me', or are simply curious to find out more, here are just some of the reasons why you should try my Yoga for Men classes in Keynsham:
weekly classes in keynsham
I run two classes a week – Monday and Thursday. There's limited spaces available so it's best to book a space. No need to pay until you arrive - Card or cash payments accepted.

what to expect
//Improved Flexibility
Stretching those parts of the body where men most often experience tightness and tension such as the shoulders, lower back and hamstrings.
//Balanced Strength
Strengthening and lengthening muscle groups such as in the mid-body to avoid overloading or under-utilising muscles that increase the risk of injury.
//Increased Stamina
Developing techniques for slower, deeper breathing and synchronising breath through movement to help relax, concentrate, and support muscle release.
//Reduced Stress
Relaxing through an integrated set of movements that help develop greater awareness of how the body and mind can be used to manage stressful situations.

yoga socials
It's good to make friends! I try and arrange monthly yoga socials so we can get to know one another a bit better in an informal setting. These usually happen after a class, when we go for a Brew & Banter somewhere local. There's also the option to join my Walk & Talk where a group of us go for an invigorating country walk with a few refreshing pit stops along the way.

how are you out of 10?
YogaDad has partnered with men's mental health charity Talk Club. As a trained 'Captain', I blend the principles of Talk Club's listening circle into my classes. Quite simply I ask: How are you, out of 10? It's nothing scientific, but it encourages my men to think about how they feel before and after the class and helps to develop more emotional wellbeing - something guys often struggle with.
